University of South Alabama Football Practice Fields
DEI worked with the University of South Alabama to design the football complex at the University. Design included grading and drainage using an underground detention system design and ADEM permitting for six new ball fields. The artificial turf design included anchorage and drainage considerations.
University of South Alabama Football Field House Complex
The project consisted of the site plan design for the football field house. It included grading, draining and other civil enginering concerns for the new Jaguar football team. The project was time-sensitive and construction driven to meet timelines for the start of football season.
The Porches Subdivision, Elberta, Alabama
DEI worked with a private local residential developer in Elberta, Alabama. It involved design and layout of 40 acres into a residential subdivision. The project included innovative rear alleyways to access all lots from the rear to facilitate a coastal community feel in a small lot development. The project consists of storm drainage, storm water detention, and utilities design.
NEWK'S Express Café Site Plan, Mobile, Alabama
This project included site layout, grading and drainage of a lease parcel for a new restaurant. The project included storm water management, water, and sewer connection layout, an administrative City of Mobile PUD to share parking with an adjacent development, and permitting.
Mizell Wellness Center Site Plan, Mizell Memorial Hospital, Opp, Alabama
This project includes site layout, grading and drainage of a new location for a Wellness Center. The project included storm water management, water and power connection. This project was reviewed and approved by the USDA due to funding sources.
Best Western Hotel, Semmes, Alabama
This project included site layout, grading and drainage of a lease parcel for a new restaurant. The project included storm water management, water, and sewer connection layout, an administrative City of Mobile PUD to share parking with an adjacent development, and permitting.
Mobile County, Alabama Flood Map Revisions
DEI was responsible for engineering and survey data acquisition for Flood Map Revisions for the eastern half of Mobile County. Project funding was provided by NOAA, and was used to modernize the Mobile County Flood Maps. Approximately 35 miles of streams were studied.
